Thank you to Benton, Faulkner, Mississippi, and White Counties for providing your data for use. The situs address points for each of these counties is now available for download. Jefferson County situs addresses were updated. The data will also be provided to http://www.openaddresses.org/ for further use.

This data set would not be possible without a lot of people working together.

2008 Impaired Waterbodies

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality has released the 2008 Impaired Waterbodies (303(d) List) shapefiles to GeoStor. The 2008 Impaired Waterbodies list includes the category 4a streams and lakes and the category 5 streams and lakes. This list has been formatted to reflect the guidance issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the development of the Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment Report. These shapefiles consist of subsets from the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Medium Resolution (1:100,000) Flowlines and Areas. The purpose of these datasets is to provide a cartographic representation of the streams and lakes in the 4a and 5 categories.

Little Rock National Weather Service has surveyed storm damage within their area of coverage and provided a new KML file that includes confirmed tornadoes.

April 30 & May 1, 2010 Storms

Little Rock National Weather Service continues to survey damage from this weekends storms. They will provide tornado track information as soon as they can. Currently the following information is available on the ftp site.

April 30, 2010 Strong Storms

Strong storms passed through the state on April 30, 2010. These storms produced several sever thunderstorm tracks and possible tornadoes.
