New County Address Points: Ashley County

The Address Point File (APF) is updated on GeoStor.  This update includes -- for the first time -- address points for Ashley County.  The data are provided to you through a joint partnership with Ashley County, Connect-Arkansas and the Arkansas Geographic Information Office. Address Points Top 1.3 Million Records on GeoStor

The Address Point File (APF) is updated on GeoStor.  This update includes -- for the first time -- address points for Hot Springs Village, Crittenden County, Craighead County, and Boone County with updates to Garland and Montgomery Counties.  Hot Springs Village, Crittenden and Craighead Counties are provided to you through a joint partnership with each agency, Connect-Arkansas and the Arkansas Geographic Information Office.  This load contained over 123,000 new points and brings the total number of 911 address points residing on GeoStor to over 1.3 million! Counties, municipalities and other addressing officials are doing some impressive work to bring the vision of a statewide addressing point file from that, a vision, to reality.

GeoStor Maintenance Notice: State Network Maintenance Scheduled

The Department of Information Systems (DIS) scheduled two system upgrade/migration efforts that may impact the current version of GeoStor. The dates of these migration efforts are:

Sunday, November 23rd at 6:00am, and; Sunday, December 14th.

There will be a two hour window of possible interruptions on those dates. However, as we all know, the current GeoStor is subject to interruptions at all times so we all know the drill. On that note, the migration of the new GeoStor is in full swing and be looking for announcements regarding its release in the near future.

New on GeoStor: Arkansas Education Cooperatives Boundary Data

The Arkansas Education Cooperatives Boundary data is now available on GeoStor.

 The Arkansas Education Service Cooperatives represent geographic areas of the state that are designed to provide leadership, administrative, technical support, resource sharing, purchasing certain services and supplies, and professional development for teachers and school districts within the cooperative area. Each cooperative contains a number of member school districts. The individual school districts are nested within each cooperative area. The outer boundary of the Education Service Cooperative are coincident with the School District boundaries. There are 15 education service cooperatives throughout Arkansas.
