2013 NAIP Imagery on GeoStor!

The 2013 National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) data collection for the State of Arkansas is now available on GeoStor.

The data is mosaiced by county. The ortho-images are 1 Meter Natural Color. To determine the image acquisition date within each county, users must download the corresponding ESRI shapefiles that are located in each county folder.

The files are available for download via ftp:

April 25, 2011 Weather Event- Update2

The imagery for Vilonia, AR is available on the GeoStor ftp site http://goo.gl/dEDPf
filename = 20110428-ViloniaAR (this is a Mr.Sid mosiac). The tiff files are available in the tiffs folder http://goo.gl/LNpSX.

NOTE: All tiff files will be removed from the ftp site on Friday May 6, 2011. Please retrieve the tiff files prior to then if you would like to use them. The MrSid image will remain on the ftp site.

December 31, 2010 Weather Event

Arkansas was hit with sever weather on December 31, 2010. Damaging winds and a tornado spawned in Benton and Washington Counties.  Eagle Forestry Services (http://www.efsgeotech.com/) flew damaged portions of Benton and Washington County on January 3, 2011. They have provided the data to the Arkansas Geographic Information Office for inclusion in the state GIS Platform – GeoStor. This allows you full access to the imagery.
